Vanguard Masonry is a commercial bricklaying contractor based at Dunston, just south of Stafford by junction 13 of the M6. We deliver managed brickwork and blockwork packages for main contractors on care homes, retail units, schools and apartment schemes across Staffordshire, with 100 bricklayers and a named supervisor on every site.
Commercial work asks more of a brickwork subcontractor than housing. Programmes are tighter, there are more trades working around you and the paperwork matters as much as the walls. We price, plan and supervise every Staffordshire package from our Dunston office, so the people running your job are never far from site.

Every commercial package has a named supervisor, RAMS issued before start, CSCS-carded bricklayers and daily site records. We work to your programme and report progress against it, so you know where the brickwork stands each week.

The same process runs on every commercial site we take on.
- Pre-start review: drawings, specification, programme and access checked before we start.
- Mobilisation: gangs, supervisor, RAMS and materials planned to the programme.
- Plot delivery: work released and built in the agreed sequence.
- Quality checks: recorded checks as the work goes up, not only at the end.
- Clean handover: work handed over tidy and ready for the next trade or for inspection.
Every package can be priced three ways: labour only; labour, mortar, sundries and fuel; or full supply and fit. Our bricklayers hold CSCS cards, every package has a named supervisor and RAMS, and we hold Constructionline Gold and CHAS Advanced.
